In a recent turn of events, Xitsonga musicians have sparked controversy by voicing their grievances against Munghana Lonene Radio.
This comes after Benny Mayengani’s earlier statements were supported by Dj Nomza, and now, Sayicology, an underrated artist in the Xitsonga music industry, has joined in, airing his frustration during a live session on Facebook.
“I stand with what Benny Mayengani said about Munghana Lonene,” proclaimed Sayicology during his live session.
He expressed deep-seated disappointment, alleging that despite releasing hit songs and albums well-received by the Xitsonga community, he was consistently overlooked for awards by MLFM.
Sayicology went further, revealing shocking details about an encounter where someone purportedly offered to buy awards for him from Munghana Lonene Xitsonga Music Awards.
Rejecting this approach, Sayicology adamantly stated, “I don’t want an award that comes through purchasing. I want recognition for my work in an honorable manner.”
Expressing disillusionment, Sayicology asserted that Munghana Lonene seemed to favor certain beneficiaries while neglecting deserving artists.
