Three children between the ages of two and six tragically lost their lives in Bolobedu, outside Modjadjiskloof.
The local police have initiated an inquest docket after the children were found unconscious inside a sedan parked in a yard at Jamela village.
According to Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the Limpopo police spokesperson, the parents brought the children to the local clinic on Wednesday when they discovered them in the distressing situation.
“Unfortunately, two of the children, aged two and six, were certified dead upon arrival, while the third child, aged three, succumbed to the tragic incident on Thursday,” said Colonel Ledwaba.
Ledwaba said that, Preliminary investigations suggest that the children were playing inside the parked vehicle with the windows closed, leading to their suffocation.
