Its been two months now since South Africa recorded first case of Covid-19, which now is standing at 6,336 confirmed cases with at least 123 deaths. Dr Mkhize announced 385 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, while the number of recoveries stands at 2549 yesterday.
Accorded to Dr Mkhize, group of 60-69 record highest deaths with 24.4% (30), and followed by group of 70-79 at 22.7% (28). out of 123 deaths, 71 Males and 52 Females. 58% of South Africans killed by Covid-19 are men.
Dr Mkhize urge people who are over 60 years of age, to take extra precautions as Government ease the lockdown regulation.
Western Cape confirmed 2700 cases ,Gauteng has 1,598 cases, KwaZulu-Natal 1,051, the Eastern Cape 732, the Free State 121, Mpumalanga 40, Limpopo 36, North West 35 and the Northern Cape 23.
