The Department of Health in Limpopo has recently made headlines with the successful excision of a tumor from a 22-year-old female’s right face. The tumor, clinically diagnosed as plexiform neurofibromatosis, had been causing significant distress and discomfort for the young woman.
According to the Department of Health in Limpopo, the tumor was successfully removed on 07 December 2023 by skilled surgeons and dedicated healthcare professionals in Limpopo Province. The patient is currently recovering well in the ward, bringing hope and relief to both her and her loved ones.
The Limpopo health spokesperson, Neil Shikwambane, expressed their satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “The tumor was excised successfully, and our patient is recovering well in the ward.” MEC Ramathuba, made a personal commitment to provide the patient with an early Christmas present that she would never forget.
