President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that in the next 6 months government will increase social grant in order to balance the economy of South Africa.
In his speech, Ramaphosa mentioned that child grant will increase by R500 per beneficial while other grants will increase by R250.
He also announced that unemployed people will receive R350 for the next six months starting in May.
Department of Social Development is still finalizing the way in which people will use to apply for this grant, such as self help and online as well as the payment method other than bank accounts.
At this moment people can apply it by sending SASSA to 0600 123 456 or emailing them at email@example.com
This grant meant for people who are over 18 years, unemployed, no income, no social grant, no UIF, not receiving allowances from NSFAS, you must not be staying with someone who is funded by government not forgetting Subsidies institutions.
