Family spokesperson James Magoro shared with TshisaLIVE that Shebeshxt recently underwent surgery on his leg and shoulder. Despite his ongoing recovery, the family hopes he will be able to attend his daughter’s funeral on Saturday in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo.
Magoro mentioned that arrangements are being made to have medical personnel assist Shebeshxt in attending the funeral and then returning him to the hospital for further recovery.
“He still needs to fully recover. He had dislocations. One leg they put steel in and [fitted] a moon boot. The leg is OK. He can step with both [legs],” Magoro said.
Although the family has not directly spoken to Shebeshxt about his daughter’s death, he is aware she did not survive the accident.
“We can’t talk to him about his loss because we understand, but he can see his child is not around anymore and his partner got hurt. He asked about Kholo’s whereabouts but did not ask about the child because he knows the child did not make it,” Magoro explained.
