In Polokwane, the case against Police Sergeant Raesetja Shokane, accused of murdering six people to collect R10 million in insurance payouts, has been postponed to October 18, 2024.
The 43-year-old officer appeared in court on Friday morning, facing 19 charges, which include murder, fraud, and obstructing justice.
She was arrested on Thursday while on duty in Senwabarwana. Her arrest followed a detailed investigation into insurance fraud, which authorities believe she has been involved in since 2019.
