Detectives in Giyani are actively searching for suspects involved in a robbery that took place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at a motel along the R81 near Xikukwani village towards Malamulele.
Police Preliminary reports indicate that four suspects arrived at the motel around 11 PM, pretending to be customers. “They asked the manager to show them the rooms, and then two of the suspects produced firearms and demanded cash,” Stated Police Spokesperson Colonel Ledwaba Malesela.
“The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a black sedan with unknown registration numbers,” Added Colonel Ledwaba.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. Police are urging anyone with information that could help catch the suspects to come forward. Investigations are ongoing.
