Police in Giyani, Mopani District, are searching for suspects after a 21-year-old man was assaulted and later died in the hospital. The incident happened on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Homu village, Section 14C.
Authorities were called to a local hospital where the man had been taken with severe injuries all over his body.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Ledwaba Malesela stated that, “Unfortunately, he (Victim) was pronounced dead upon arrival. The identity of the deceased has not been released as investigations continue.”
According to reports, the man was attacked by a group of angry community members in the area. The reason for the attack is still unknown, and the police are investigating the motive behind this tragic event.
Police have registered a case of murder and are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
