Orlando Pirates have advanced to the group stage of the CAF Champions League after defeating Jwaneng Galaxy 1-0 in the second leg of their qualifying tie. The South African club won 3-0 on aggregate, following their 2-0 victory in the first leg.
Monnapule Saleng scored the only goal of the match to seal the win for Pirates. His strike came in the second half, ensuring that the Buccaneers continued their strong form in the competition.
Pirates were in control throughout the game, creating several chances but finding Jwaneng’s defense difficult to break down.
However, Saleng’s goal proved to be enough to secure a comfortable progression to the next round.
Pirates are now set to compete in the CAF Champions League group stage, where they will face tougher opposition in their quest for continental glory.
