Malamulele- The Basil Mabasa Foundation has donated a fully equipped water borehole to Nkovani Village. This donation, announced by Mayor Maluleke S.G during his State of the Municipality Address at Malamulele Community Hall, aims to address the village’s ongoing water issues.
“With the donations that we received from the Basil Mabasa Foundation, we are going to dig a water borehole in Nkovani Village,” Mayor Maluleke said.
He emphasized that the decision to support Nkovani was made because the village is among those struggling most with water scarcity in the Collins Chabane Municipality.
The Mayor expressed his hope that the borehole will be completed by July 18th, in time to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s birthday.
The Basil Mabasa Foundation confirmed the donation and stated, “The Basil Mabasa Foundation has donated a fully equipped borehole to the impoverished people of Nkovani Village through the Office of the Mayor. It will be officially handed over during Mandela Month.”
The new borehole is expected to bring much-needed relief to the residents of Nkovani Village, providing them with a reliable source of clean water.
