When words are properly uttered sound like the hyms of Solomon, Magulasavi high school learner Ntshembo Nyathi writes and extraordinarily recites poetry.
A fifteen years old chap from Makhuva village in Giyani didn’t wait for his educators to detect his talent, and he was at grade 5 when Ntsembo released that he is a poetry gifted wazzard.
Talking to Mathonsi Media Express, Ntshembo said that he is so amazed by his creative mind. words just flow like a river when his pen bleeds on paper.
“I write terrific pieces of Xitsonga and English poems to my Culture alive. l would like to urge my peers to do whatever they can to embrace their culture” he said.
The young poet is professionally called The Tsonga Poet Boy when he is on stage.
The Tsonga poet boy told MME that he wishes to be a lawyer but he will keep on utilizing poetry to address serious issues in the communities.
Below is an extract of a poem penned by Ntsembo on heritage day;
Oh Africa my pride
Laha ku nga kaya ra mina
Laha ta mina Timintsu ti simekiweko kona,
Mutsonga wo chava kutsongola swa vanwani vanhu
Xihluke xa Gwame na Zavani.
Ntsembo does not practice poetry under a tree, he has a special YouTube where he posts all his podcasts.
