Today, the Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Councillor Shadrack Maluleke, along with Councillor Simon Mavikane, the Member of Executive Committee for Technical Services, visited the family of the late Mr. Gezani Samuel Bila.
Mr. Bila was the husband of Joyce Bila, the former first Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality. Mayor Maluleke praised Mr. Bila, describing him as a supportive and courageous family man who always stood by the former Mayor in her municipal duties.
“We will remember Mr. Bila as a man of courage and support. The loss of a father, husband, and community leader is never easy, especially for those closest to him. We extend our condolences to the family and promise to work closely with them to ensure he is granted a dignified send-off,” said Mayor Maluleke.
The visit by the Mayor and Mavikane underscores the community’s respect and gratitude for Mr. Bila’s contributions and support to his wife’s public service.
