The South African Renewal Alliance (SARA) has urged the African National Congress (ANC) to acknowledge the failure of their strategy for the upcoming 2024 elections and the proposed Government of National Unity (GNU).
SARA leader Colleen Makhubela expressed strong criticism, stating, “We want to implore the ANC to admit that whatever their intentions were for the 2024 elections and the so-called Government of National Unity, that things went horribly wrong.”
Makhubela’s comments show increasing worries and unhappiness with the ANC’s handling of the new government in South Africa. This comes after the ANC announced they would form a government of national unity with all political parties in parliament.
However, they ended up forming a governing body only with the DA, IFP, and PA, leaving out the other parties.
