During a public lecture at Rhodes University, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) President Julius Malema revealed that he had invited Bongani Baloyi, the President of Xiluva, to join the EFF after Baloyi left ActionSA.
Malema shared, “When Bongani Baloyi left ActionSA, I asked him to join the EFF, and he thought he was so popular that he would succeed on his own.”
Malema went on to say, ” If he had come to the EFF, he would be a Member of Parliament by now because he possesses the necessary qualities of leadership.”
Despite Baloyi’s efforts, Xiluva failed to secure a seat in parliament. Baloyi’s decision to go solo has been met with significant challenges, as highlighted by the recent election results.
