In a recent interview with SABC News, EFF President Julius Malema expressed strong criticism of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and called for the immediate removal of Minister Siviwe Gwarube.
According to Malema, once in a government position, a minister should prioritize serving the South African Constitution, not just the DA’s party policies.
Malema also highlighted the divisions within the government, particularly in relation to the Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Bill. He claimed the bill has exposed the internal conflicts within the ruling party, describing it as “a marriage of inconvenience.”
The EFF leader further criticized the DA-led government, comparing it unfavorably to the ANC-led government. Malema argued that the Government of National Unity (GNU) has failed.
He is citing upcoming battles over the National Health Insurance (NHI) and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) as evidence of the growing tensions within the government.
