In a tragic accident on the N1 highway near Baobab tollgate outside Musina, Limpopo, four people lost their lives when a taxi collided with a bus.
The reports indicate that, the accident occurred when the taxi, trying to avoid another vehicle, swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed into the bus.
Three other passengers in the taxi were injured in the collision. Emergency services were quick to respond, providing medical assistance and transporting the injured to the nearest hospital.
Police have launched a preliminary investigation into the incident. Early findings suggest that the taxi was attempting to avoid a different vehicle, leading to the fatal swerve.
