POLOKWANE: Police in Lebowakgomo, Capricorn District, have started a manhunt for suspects who attacked and assaulted a 79-year-old woman, who later died in the hospital. The incident happened in Lebowakgomo Zone R early Monday, 17 June 2024.
According to Police Spokesperson Colonel Ledwaba Malesela, “Police were called to a local hospital around 07:30 after a neighbor brought the elderly woman to the hospital.”
“She was found lying naked outside her house with head injuries and bruises on her body. The woman was rushed to the hospital but sadly died from her injuries while receiving treatment,” said Police Spokesperson Colonel Ledwaba Malesela.
Her identity is being withheld as investigations continue. Police have registered a case of murder.
