A 34-year-old law enforcement officer named Kabelo Peter Duba, accused of killing his 26-year-old girlfriend, Kedidimetse Moche, a student at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Polokwane campus, has been denied bail.
The incident involved dumping Moche’s body beneath a bridge in Chuenespoort, Lebowakgomo. Duba made an appearance in the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s court today following his arrest the previous week, on Thursday, at his residence in Penina Park, Polokwane.
He now faces charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, theft of the deceased’s cellphone, and obstructing justice.
The Limpopo SA Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, noted that the police investigation is ongoing, as the Moche family seeks justice for their daughter, who suffered a brutal demise at the hands of her boyfriend.
