After the 2024 elections, the African National Congress (ANC) secured 159 seats in the national parliament. The Democratic Alliance (DA) obtained 87 seats, while the MK party won 58 seats.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) gained 39 seats, and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) secured 17 seats. The Patriotic Alliance (PA) won 9 seats, VF+ and ACTION SA each gained 6 seats, and the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) and United Democratic Movement (UDM) each secured 3 seats.
The African Transformation Movement (ATM), ALJAMA, Build One South Africa (BOSA), and RISE each obtained 2 seats, and the GOOD party secured 1 seat.
Benny Mayengani’s party, AADP, did not win any seats in the national and provincial elections. Despite their efforts, they were unable to secure representation.
